Teeing off at the Sept. 29 Penobscot Valley Conference Class B championship at the Jato Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln is Foxcroft Academy’s Akira Tanabe. Tanabe finished in ninth place with a score of 83 to qualify for the individual state championship on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.
In the PVC Class B team championship standings, the Ponies ended up seventh of eight squads with a score of 438.
