Track and field results

The Dexter and PCHS boys both were in action at Hampden on April 28 with the Tigers finishing fifth of eight schools at a score of 33 points and the Pirates placing eighth with two points.

Brandon Allen had the meet’s best performance in the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches. Allen also came in second in the long jump at 18-11.50 and he placed fifth in the 200 with a time of 25.22 seconds.The Dexter 4×100 relay — Dillion Allen, Jason Campbell, Lucas Qualey and Brandon Allen — was fifth at exactly 51 seconds.

Christopher Roderka was fourth in the 1,600 in 5:20.58. Jacob Hesseltine placed fifth in the 400 at 1:01.09 and coming in fifth in the shot put was David Kirschkaln at a distance of 33-09. Zach White added a point by finishing sixth in the 200 at 25.35 points.

Devin Ronco had the two points for PCHS. Ronco came in fifth in the 110 hurdles at 23.02 seconds.

In the girls’ meet, Dexter was fifth at 29 points and PCHS was right behind with 22 points.

Danielle Cummings finished as the 200-meter runner-up in 29.18 seconds. Cummings also came in fifth in the 100 at 14.19 seconds and she anchored the fourth-place 4×100 relay squad. Lily Cummings, Autumn Irwin, Katie Batron and Cummings ran the lap in 56.79 seconds.

Kaitlyn Paquin had the No. 3 throw in the discus at 70-08. She also was sixth in the shot at 22-08.75.

Katie Batron came in fourth and fifth in the 100 and 200 with respective times of 14.12 and 29.53 seconds. Rebecca Batron was sixth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 21.99 seconds and placing sixth in the 1,600 was Ashley Reynolds at 6:45.42

Haylee Patterson picked up 14 of PCHS’ points. She finished second in the javelin with a top throw of 76-10 and Patteson was third in the shot at 26-01.75.

Lexi Harrison had the second-best time in the 800 at 2:46.94.

The Foxcroft boys more than doubled the total of runner-up Fort Fairfield with a score of 184 points to 78 to finish in first place out of 12 schools at a meet in Dover-Foxcroft on April 30.

The Ponies had eight first-place performances with Hunter Smith winning all four of his events. Smith was the meet victor in both the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.78 seconds and the 200 at 24.45 seconds.

Smith cleared the bar at 6-02 to win the high jump and his distance of 20-07 was tops in the long jump.

Cooper Nelson won the 1,600 in a time of 4:47.12. Paul Birtwistle, Jason Eubanks, Nelson and Gabe Piquette had the day’s best time in the 4×400 at 3:52.44.

Evan Chadbourne came in first in the 100 at 11.79 seconds, and Brandon Brock’s throw of 41-06 in the shot earned him first-place honors.

Foxcroft’s second-place performers were Chadbourne in the 400 at 55.65 seconds; Zachary Caron in the high jump at 6-00, triple jump at 39-00.50 and pole vault at 11-06; Brock in the javelin at 133-05; and Cody Strout’s throw of 38-11 in the shot.

Placing third was Piquette in the 800 at 2:19.74 and 1,600 at 4:53.61; Birtwistle in the 300 hurdles at 48.07 seconds; and Brock in the discus at 102-03. In fourth place was Liam Casey in the 800 at 2:28.07; Evan Chadboure in the 200 at 25.05 seconds; Hyatt Smith in the triple jump at exactly 34 feet and in the long jump at 16-05; and Connor Holmes in the shot at 33-07.

Rounding out the Pony point-scorers, in order of events, were the 4×800 relay (Hunter Giacomuzzi, Ethan Poland, Gabriel Chambers and Casey), fifth at 10:40.30; the 4×100 relay squad (Reginald Johnston, Jonathan LaBree, Joshua Whittemore and Brian Sletterink), sixth at 58.61 seconds; Nelson, sixth in the 200 at 25.41 seconds; Max Santagata, fifth in the javelin at 112-03 and sixth in the high jump at 5-08; and LaBree, sixth in the shot at 32-08.

The boys from Greenville came in ninth with 14 points.

Noah Pratt had a hand in all 14 points. He was third in the 3,200 with a time of 11:45.34 and Pratt placed fifth in the 1,600 at 5:13.77. He opened the Laker 4×800 relay and Pratt, Dakota Collins, John Watt and Parker Richards finished in third place with a time of 10:11.86.

Penquis finished in 10th place with 12 points as Josh Martin picked up a pair of third-place field event finishes. He came in third in the long jump at 16-11, and had the third-best javelin throw at 130-03.

The host Foxcroft girls came in fifth place, out of 10 schools, with a score of 54 points.

Jennifer Clawson was the meet winner in the 3,200 at 14:00.56, and she was the 1,600 runner-up at 6:07.10. Clawson, Jordan Thomas, Renee Smith and Jacalyn Pelletier combined for a time of 5:03.89 to win the 4×400.

Emily Mikoud had the day’s best discus throw at 121-07. She also finished third in the shot at 29-07.

The Pony 4×100 (Emily Sprecher, Avery Nelson, Pelletier and Brigidi Casey) finished in third place at 1:00.80. Nelson was fifth in the discus and sixth in the javelin at respective distances of 73-10 and 86-06, and placing sixth in the discus was Smith at a distance of 71-10.

Finishing in eighth place was Penquis with 26 points.

Jordan Durant’s long jump of 14-01 was the best of the meet. Durant also came in third in the triple jump at 28-08.

Kayla Harmon finished third in the javelin at 86-06. Jordan Prendergast placed fifth in the long jump at 12-00. Sixth in the 100 hurdles was Denali Smith at 21.85 seconds and sixth in the shot was Haley Morel with a throw of 25-07.25.

Ava Henderson scored Greenville’s six points as the Lakers tied Washburn for ninth place. Henderson finished third in the racewalk at 11:36.23.
