Diane J. Rideout

MILO – Diane J. Rideout was born Sept. 30, 1946. ‘With heavy hearts we say goodbye to Diane.’ She went to be with her husband, Dale Rideout, who predeceased her. She passed on March 26, 2016 from cancer.

She is survived by her two daughters, Theresa “Tess” Rideout of Milo, and Michelle “Missy” Lombard of Skowhegan; one grandson, Tucker “angel baby” Lombard; and a granddaughter, Catline “demon child” Lombard. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry Johnston of Sebec  and his wife, Cathy, and Bruce “Bubba” Johnston and his wife, Vicki Lee of Melbourne, FL; a sister, Lori Ann “sissy” Hall and her significant other, Chris Sprague of Milo; a special best friend, Jackie Moody; her widow’s club sisters, Jan Philbrook, Shirley Brown and wannabe minion in training, Val Philbrook; her nephew, Brandon Johnston who was her only “son”; and special niece, Sheena Warren.

There will be a celebration of life, potluck dinner and raffle in her honor at the Joseph P. Chaisson Post 41 American Legion, West Main Street, Milo, on April 17, from noon – 5 p.m.

A graveside service will be held in August when her brother will be in Maine, date to be announced later.
