PVC all-stars

The area was well represented on the 2015-16 Penobscot Valley Conference (PVC) Class C/D All-Conference Team.

Megan Peach of Dexter Regional High School and Piscataquis Community High School’s Jordynne Littlefield were both named to the Girls’ First Team.

Delanie Bennett of PCHS was chosen for the Second Team, and Katie Batron of Dexter was a Third Team selection.

The PVC defensive picks include Abbey Webber of Dexter, Amy Carrier of Greenville High School, Lexi Harris of PCHS and Jordan Durant of Penquis Valley High School.

Named to the All-Academic team was Shelby Ward of Greenville, Littlefield and Lauren Worcester of Penquis.

Katie Batron and Skyler Theodore of Dexter as well as Bennett and Littlefield were Senior All-Star Game selections, and one of the two coaches for the contest was Dawn McLaughlin of Penquis.

Zach White of Dexter, Nick Foley of Greenville and Bryce Gilbert of PCHS were named to the Boys’ Third Team.

Both Brayden Miller of Dexter and Ben Morrill of PCHS earned Honorable Mention recognition.

Tim White of Greenville, Morrill and Claytie Preble of Penquis were each honored by the PVC for their defensive play.

Penquis’ Josh Martin was named to the All-Academic Team.

Senior all-stars included Morrill and White, with Penquis seventh-grader Zak Mills (the son of the Patriots’ head coach Jason Mills) serving as one of the game’s coaches.
