Milo Free Public Library news

MILO — The Three Rivers Kiwanis project for last year was to paint the downstairs of the Milo library. The painting got started this February after all the windows were installed. This project is in process and looking very good with a new color scheme — aren’t we lucky! We are also doing some reorganizing to make the space more user friendly.

A Nook or E-book reader was recently donated to us and can be checked out to use for our download library selections.

Kathy’s pick is “Have you ever felt neglected, lonely, less than useful? These old gems need a visit! Care to try one?” This book display features a great variety of older books and authors that needed to be put in the forefront again.

We have many donated puzzles (500 to 1,000 pieces), DVDs, VHS movies and books on CDs. They can be checked out just like a book.

There have been many more books added to our books for sale. We also have a selection of books for sale by the carton.

Questions, call 943-2612 or e-mail us at milolibrary@trcmaine.org. Winter hours are in effect. Monday, Wednesday and Friday1-7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
