#GIVING TO FOXCROFT ACADEMY With the number of donors increasing 60 percent from last year, nearly $16,000 was raised for Foxcroft Academy during the 2015 #GivingTuesday. The amount is more than three times the initial goal of $5,000.

#GivingTuesday, which opens the holiday giving season, celebrates and encourages charitable donations to nonprofit organizations. With donations pouring in from more than 10 states and three countries, the final amount raised in support of Foxcroft Academy more than tripled the initial goal of $5,000.

“I am amazed by the overwhelming participation in Giving Tuesday this year,” said Head of School Arnold Shorey. “I am so thankful to be a part of such a giving community. It is the generosity of FA’s alumni, friends, and community that allow us to be the school that we are today.”

Students and faculty, who were told the news at a school-wide assembly, expressed a resounding “thank you” that can be viewed on Foxcroft Academy’s YouTube or Facebook pages.
