PARKMAN — Chloe’s Collections Florist & Gift Shoppe owner Joy Gregory recently reached her sixth year in business at her location at 713 State Highway (Route 150). Gregory is a full service florist and she also offers tuxedo rentals, “one stop shopping” for wedding and special occasion planning and Victorian and Shabby Chic gifts.
“It was six years just last week,” Gregory said, about Chloe’s Collections, named for her oldest granddaughter. “She just turned 14,” Gregory said. She mentioned her granddaughter Chloe was only four weeks old when Chloe’s Collections & Gift Shoppe opened at its location in Florida, where Gregory lived and worked prior to moving to Maine.
Chloe’s Collections can provide floral arrangements for any occasion, with the mediums as varied as the designs as Gregory — who has studied floral design at the Florida Art Institute and has a bachelor of arts in marketing and business management — offers fresh, dried and papier-silk floral arrangements. Gregory is proud to offer delivery seven days a week and arrangements can be dropped off in Parkman, Cambridge, Harmony, Guilford, Sangerville, Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft, Abbot, Shirley, Monson and Greenville.
“Teleflora picked us up this year so now we can send flowers around the world,” Gregory said. She said she is also affiliated with BloomNet and the Flower Shop Network to provide arrangement delivery.
Floral arrangements, gift baskets and other gifts from Chloe’s Collections can be ordered through several methods. Customers can stop by at the retail shop, housed in a renovated barn built in the 1830s, during the day Tuesday through Saturdays, place an order by phone at 876-2627 or through online contact forms at www.chloescollections.com.
Chloe’s Collections is a full service rental provider of Paul Morrell Formalwear and through a varied network of local service providers the business offers “one stop shopping” for wedding and other special occasions — such as prom and graduations — planning within budget. “Must remember” dates such as birthdays and anniversaries can can be registered with Chloe’s Collections with customers being reminded 48 hours prior to the big day.
“I have been really lucky, most of the people I have worked for have been real gracious sharing testimonials and pictures with me and I’m thankful for that,” Gregory said about customers’ words and images posted on her website.
Gregory said the gift shoppe emphasis is on Victorian and Shabby Chic items and home accents. She said these gifts reflect these two eras, with Victorian from the 19th century and Shabby Chic Gregory describing as distressed vintage to reflect being from the 1960s and 1970s.
Throughout the year, Gregory marks the seasons with various events at Chloe’s Collections. “We will do our annual Leaf Peeper Weekend, serving hot cider and donuts each day from noon to 4,” she said about the refreshments on Oct. 10-12 or the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Columbus Day Weekend.
Gregory believes in the importance of giving back. Gregory, who has worked for 26 years as an oncology nurse in both the hospital and through hospice case management, has contributed prize packages tying in with various holidays to be raffled to benefit area families with children coping with cancer.
She said again in 2015 Chloe’s Collections will be raising funds to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Last year around Veteran’s Day a portion of every single sale over a multiple-day open house went toward the organization, and Gregory also donated a Thanksgiving centerpiece to be raffled in benefit of the Wounded Warrior Project and accepted direct monetary donations to go toward empowering veterans and their families through a variety of programs, services and events.
Chloe’s Collections Florist & Gift Shoppe is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with retail and Internet orders taken seven days a week and delivery available every day of the week as well. For more information, please call 876-2767 or go to www.chloescollections.com.
