BURNING CALORIES FOR WHOOPIE PIES –– Over 50 participants took part in the Piscataquis Regional YMCA’s annual Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K on the morning of June 27 before the start of the 2015 Maine Whoopie Pie Festival in Dover-Foxcroft Foxcroft. The course began by the the base of Pleasant Street and nearly two miles later finished at the intersection of North and Lincoln streets.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Again in 2015 the Piscataquis Regional YMCA held its annual Earn Your Whoopie 3K and Kids 1K Fun Run in conjunction with the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, with both races starting on the morning of June 27 by the Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department at the base of Pleasant Street.

RACE WINNER –– John Conner finished as the 2015 Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K champion, running a time of 11 minutes, 10 seconds to best second place by over 30 seconds.

FINISHED –– Recent Foxcroft Academy graduate Julian Zepeda came in second in the Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K with a time of 11 minutes, 43 seconds.

IN THE TOP FOUR –– Brandon Morris crossed the finish line to earn third-place honors, and right behind is Nate Feleke in fourth place.
