Sebec town meeting results

SEBEC – A special town meeting was held on May 27 with the following results:

Approved was a three-person committee of residents to draft a proposed ordinance governing the management of road projects and expenditures of municipal funds for roads to be presented at the Aug. 10 annual meeting. The committee members will be Don Rush, John Dyer and Bill Ekhardt.

The next article approved was to have a thorough investigation and research of the cost to maintain the roads both paved and dirt, and to obtain documentation for all road projects and show the cost before work is done.

Also approved was the formation of a three-person committee of residents to play a five-year and 10-year program of road planning and maintenance, which will be submitted to the budget committee and then residents for evaluation and action. Potential committee members are Charles Shaffer, Don Drew and Don Rush.
