‘No Kings’ rally in Dover-Foxcroft
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Concerned Citizens for Democracy joined with 40,000 other Mainers from 52 towns in a “No Kings” rally on Saturday, June 14. Participants from the Penquis region lined both sides of the East Main Street bridge in Dover-Foxcroft and represented varying political persuasions.
Dover-Foxcroft Police Chief Seth Burnes described the event as, “A perfect example of how people are supposed to express their First Amendment rights.â€
One hundred fifty citizens participated and were joined by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Angus King III.
