Foxcroft boys place fourth at indoor track meet

    ORONO — The Foxcroft boys track team finished fourth in a five team meet on Dec. 28 in the Eastern Maine Indoor Track League meet in Orono. Hermon won the meet with 115 points, Old Town placed second with 79 followed by Mount Desert Island, 74; Central, 70; Foxcroft, 33 and Summer, 27.
    Foxcroft runners who finished with a strong performance in the running events at the  five-team meet were: Donald Boyer, first, 55 meter hurdles; 8.08; Ryan Wang, third, 55 meter dash, 7.04; Donald Boyer, sixth, 55 meter dash, 7.16; Julian Zepeda, sixth, 800 meters, 2:41.65; Ryan Wang, 200 meters, third, 24.93; Jasper Thompson, 200 meters, sixth, 25.44.In the field events, Cody Levensalor placed third in the shot put with a throw of 40-07.75.     In the girls’ meet,  Foxcroft also finished fourth out of five teams. The Ponies earned six points which placed them behind Hermon (169), Old Town (131), MDI (48) and Central (18). Sumner placed fifth with four points.
    In the 4×200 meter run, the relay team Mia  Smith , Desirae Brawn , Holly Ly  and Lydia Zepeda placed third with a  2:22.13 time.
