Greenville Girl Scout earns Silver Award for creating informational Moosehead scavenger hunt and trivia game

GREENVILLE — Cadette Girl Scout from Greenville, Avis Kennedy-Stirling earned her Silver Award for creating an informational scavenger hunt and trivia game aimed at teaching tourists about meaningful facts surrounding the local area’s wildlife and environment. The Girl Scout Silver Award — the highest honor a Cadette can earn — is achieved when Girl Scout Cadettes focus on an issue they care about in their community and take action to make a difference.

As a longtime resident of the Greenville area, Kennedy-Stirling has always known her hometown to be a top tourist destination for those seeking rural New England charm via Moosehead Lake. Knowing that the lake draws in thousands of visitors from all around the country each year, Kennedy-Stirling wanted to focus her Silver Award project on providing tourists with meaningful information about the area.
