Two TCTC students gifted tools
The local Masonic Lodge in Dexter presented a generous donation, with the help of the Widows Sons Masonic Motorcycle Riders Association and the Grand Lodge of Maine, that would directly affect students at the Tri-County Technical Center. The contributions will be used to put tools into the hands of students.
Lewis Easler and employees at Dexter Lumber Company put together tool packages for all seven students, giving a generous discount on all of the tools. The donation was presented in November 2021 and helped five hard-working students start their careers in June of 2022. This year Braeden Gerry and Zander Grant were the students that were awarded tools. In total seven young graduating students entered the workforce with quality tools to begin their careers as trades people.

Gerry finished up as a third year student in buildings trades program and assisted the new instructor Jay Philbrick by becoming a mentor for the first-year students that came to TCTC in August of 2022. He has chosen construction for his career choice.
Grant was in building trades last year and enrolled in the automotive technology program for the 2022-23 school year. He has a desire to be an auto technician for a career choice.
