Victoria will intern in Collins’ Washington, D.C. office

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine announced that Steffi Victoria of Dover-Foxcroft has been awarded a spring internship in her Washington, D.C. office. Victoria is a graduate of Foxcroft Academy.

“Steffi provided excellent constituent service to her fellow Mainers while working in my Bangor office, and I am delighted to welcome her back to continue this public service,” said Collins. “Through her extracurricular activities and commitment to academics, she has demonstrated a strong work ethic and leadership skills. I am pleased that she will have the opportunity to witness the legislative process firsthand through this internship in my D.C. office.”

Victoria emigrated from India when she was 8 years old, and she has been a U.S. citizen since 2020. She first met Collins during the UMaine Cohen Institute Summer Program’s Washington, D.C., trip last year, and she completed an internship in Collins’ Bangor office last fall.

D.C. INTERN — University of Maine junior Steffi Victoria of Dover-Foxcroft will be a spring intern in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine. Victoria interned in Collins’ Bangor office last fall.

Currently Victoria is a junior at the University of Maine, majoring in political science and minoring in leadership studies. She participates in an array of organizations at UMaine, such as Pi Sigma Alpha; the National Political Science Honor Society, University of Maine Chapter; and Sigma Alpha Lambda; the National Leadership and Honors Organization, University of Maine Chapter.

She aspires to become a pro-bono immigration attorney to help Afghan allies, Ukrainians, and future asylum seekers obtain temporary or permanent legal status in the U.S. through green cards, Employment-Based visas, humanitarian paroles, and special immigrant visas.
