Auditions for Slightly Off-Center Players’ musical review

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Auditions for the fall musical review of the Slightly Off-Center Players will be held at the Center Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. and Monday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. The performances will be Oct. 17, 18, and 19.

    The cast of singers will be performing songs from past musicals at the Center Theatre, along with a few new additions. While some songs will be performed by those from the original Center Theatre cast, the production is looking for men, women and children for both soloist and ensemble parts.
    Women are asked to prepare a verse and chorus from one of the following songs: “My Favorite Things” (“Sound of Music”); “Day By Day” (“Godspell”); “Some Enchanted Evening” (“South Pacific”); “Crazy” (“Always…Patsy Cline”); or “It Might As Well Be Spring” (“State Fair”).
    Men are asked to prepare a verse and chorus from one of the following songs: “Younger Than Springtime”; “One More Angel In Heaven” (“Joseph And The Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat”); “Some Enchanted Evening” (“South Pacific”); “Surry With The Fringe On Top or “Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin!” (“Oklahoma!”).
    Kids are asked to prepare a verse and a chorus from one of the following songs: ”Tomorrow” (“Annie”); “It’s a Hard Knock Life” (“Annie”); “Under The Sea” (“The Little Mermaid”); or “Part of Your World” (“The Little Mermaid”).
    Auditions may be sung a capella, or with your own recorded music. A CD player will be available. A tentative rehearsal schedule will also be available at auditions.
