Parkman celebrates community’s Bicentennial

PARKMAN BICENTENNIAL PARADE – Parkman celebrated its Bicentennial on Saturday, including a late morning parade starting from across the town office on Route 150 to the B & K Storage field on the North Dexter Road. Among the procession participants was KC’s Country Store with a float to celebrate the 200 years.

200TH BIRTHDAY CAKE – A replica birthday cake for the community’s 200th birthday was on the first float in the Parkman Bicentennial parade on Saturday morning.

MOBILE CHURCH – Younger parishioners were in the Parkman Baptist Church float in the Parkman Bicentennial parade on July 23. The church celebrated its own Bicentennial four years ago.

KIMBALL’S BUTCHER SHOP – A float for Kimball’s Butcher Shop was among the participants in Saturday morning’s Parkman Bicentennial parade down Route 150 from the field across the town office to the B & K Storage field on the North Dexter Road for afternoon activities.

WAGON RIDES – Seavey Farm horse-drawn wagon was part of Parkman’s Bicentennial parade on the morning of July 23. Later in the day Seavey Farm provided wagon rides as part of the afternoon activities.
