    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Results for the PRYMCA Earn Your Whoopie Pie Adults 3K on June 28, held in conjunction with the annual Maine Whoopie Pie Festival are as follows. The 2014 race was run on a new course.

    HITTING THE STREETS BEFORE HAVING THEIR TREATS — Over 70 participants took part in the Piscataquis Regional YMCA’s annual Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K on the morning of June 28 as part of the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival in downtown Dover-Foxcroft. This year’s race featured a new route, starting at the base of Pleasant Street, and rising Foxcroft Academy junior Cooper Nelson won in 10:53 with fellow rising Pony junior Gabriel Piquette second in 11:03.

    OUT OF THE WAY SWEETIE PIE! — Twenty four boys and girls ran in the PRYMCA’s Earn Your Whoopie Pie 1K, up and back the Pleasant Street sidewalk, on June 28 as part of the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival in Dover-Foxcroft. Four of the two dozen entrants won their respective divisions, boys and girls 6 and under and ages 7-12.
