Residents of the Hibbard Skilled Nursing Center in Dover-Foxcroft formed a resident volunteer group on Jan. 15. This group meets every evening in the day room from 6-7 p.m.

The group decides what projects they would like to do and the project materials are funded through the activities department or through donations. The group has decided to donate some of their projects out into the community. They chose to give their first project, a No-Sew Fleece Fringe blanket, pictured with group leader Nancy Gagne, to the Aktion Club to find it a home where it is needed. Residents spent time measuring and cutting the material and then tying knots all the way around. They are very excited about their next project, yarn dolls, and no-sew doll blankets for a local Girl Scout troop.
