Three workshops will help parents of children with disabilities with transition planning

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — A series of workshop meetings will be held later this month at the SeDoMoCha School, 63 Harrison Avenue, to support families with children with disabilities plan their child’s transition to adulthood. Similar  workshops are happening across the state by superintendent region and SeDoMoCha Special Services and the Maine Parent Federation, Inc. are hosting one for the Penquis superintendent region which includes Bangor, Newport, Howland, Greenville and all the towns in between.

    The first workshop, Transition Planning for Students, will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. The workshops Identifying Transition Services and another with a panel of local professionals will be held on Jan. 21 and 28 from 5:30-7 p.m.
