Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine ride for good causes

The 2019 riding season has come to a close for the Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine. As usual, members have had a very busy year. Each winter, they plan their rides for the spring, summer and fall. Along with many fun rides, they also plan several rides to benefit local charities and individual people in the county.

This year was the 10th annual cancer ride for the Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine and it benefitted recipients battling breast cancer. The other charity ride was for the DARE programs in the county.

Each year the Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine also conduct a ride to benefit the Biker Down Fund, at the state level. The organization applied to the Dunkin Donuts Community Cares program, in order to obtain cards to sell. The club was selected, sold the cards, raised $3,000 and donated the proceeds to the two major rides. The sale of those cards was a huge boost to the totals raised for this year’s charities. A huge thank you goes out to Dunkin Donuts for selecting the Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine.

CHARITY RIDES — The Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine were busy this year, including holding the group’s 10th annual cancer ride and another trip to benefit DARE programs in Piscataquis County.

Over the past 10 years, this county’s group has raised nearly $31,000 for charity. All of the money has remained in Piscataquis County. The group would like to thank all of the people and businesses that have supported them over the past 10 years. Without this support, they would not be able to do all that they do.
