Man arrested and charged with furnishing liquor to a minor
DOVER-FOXCROFT — As part of an on-going criminal investigation by the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department, officers executed a search warrant at 956 West Main Street on Dec. 9. Dover-Foxcroft police officers also executed an arrest warrant at the location.
Taken into custody at the time of execution of the search warrant was Graham A. Long, 44. Long was cooperative and taken into custody without incident. Long was the only person found at the residence at the time of the search warrant.
Long was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant, which had been issued by the Dover-Foxcroft District Court as part of an investigation being conducted by Sgt. Todd Lyford and other Dover-Foxcroft police officers.
He has been charged with the following offenses: furnishing liquor to a minor, Class D; allowing a minor to possess or consume liquor, Class D; and endangering the welfare of a child, Class D, all misdemeanor offenses. The search warrant was related to the charges Long is facing and the investigation continues. The victim in this case is a 15-year-old female. More arrests are possible.
Dover-Foxcroft Police were assisted by an agent from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Long remains in jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. He has prior convictions for similar conduct.
In June 2011 Long was arrested as part of a similar investigation. A search warrant was executed at Long’s residence by Dover-Foxcroft police officers on June 17, 2011 and Long was arrested. As a result of that investigation, he was convicted of allowing minors to possess or consume liquor and unlawful furnishing scheduled drugs. Long received a $1,000 fine and 60 days in jail.
