Two arrested in attempted Rite Aid robbery

DEXTER — Dexter police have arrested two men in connection with an attempted robbery of the Rite Aid pharmacy on Church Street last week.
Dexter Police Lt. Alan Grinnell announced that Tyler Huff, 22, of Corinna was arrested on Nov. 27 and Michael Hames, 21, of Palmyra was arrested on Thanksgiving Day.

Both men were charged with one count each of robbery.
According to the police report, a male subject passed a note to the pharmacist on duty Nov. 26 demanding drugs.
But the pharmacist read the note loud enough so that coworkers and store patrons could hear it, and the suspect took off on foot. No weapon was displayed during the incident, police said.
Grinnell added that the department received a significant number of calls related to the case which made it easier for the investigation.
