Mayo launches integrated billing system

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Following the launch of an integrated health record system that combined multiple medical records into one record for each patient, Mayo Regional Hospital announces the launch of a new billing system. The improved billing system is part of the one-record system implemented at the beginning of the year, designed to provide a comprehensive set of capabilities to electronically store, capture and access patient health information. Part of this enhancement is the creation of one billing system for hospital and physician based services.

Mayo Regional Hospital slightly delayed the release of patient statements in order to fully test and ensure the combined billing and guarantor based statements were produced efficiently and accurately.

“We are excited with the final product and are pleased to announce the release of the statements generated by our one-record system. With integrated patient records and one billing system, Mayo Regional Hospital is implementing a safer and more effective system for our patients,” said Marie Vienneau, president and CEO of the hospital.

The new statements went out May 15. Please contact Mayo’s Patient Financial Services office with any questions at 564-4301
