Outdoor track & field results

On May 4 Foxcroft Academy, Greenville High School and Piscataquis Community High School took part in a Penobscot Valley Conference meet at Ellsworth High School. The Foxcroft boys scored 34 points to place sixth among a dozen schools.

Sophomore Logan Martin won the 100 meters in a time of 12.27 seconds. He also anchored the fastest 4×100 relay squad as senior Cody Tetlow, freshman Jesse Drury, junior Hunter Clarke and Martin combined for a time of 47.95 seconds.

Martin also finished third in the long jump at a distance of 19 feet, 3.25 inches.

Pony sophomore Isaac Drury came in fourth in the 110 hurdles at 18.80 seconds. Senior Noah Contreras was fifth in the pole vault at a height of 7-06 and Clarke added a sixth-place finish in the 200 at 25.39 seconds.

Foxcroft’s 4×800 relay — freshman James Jankunas, junior Jacob Raynes, senior Nicolas Daneman and sophomore Joseph Keenan — had the sixth-best time at 10:22.74.

The Greenville boys picked up 24 points to place seventh at the meet.

Senior Ben Baldwin ran the fastest time in the 200 at 24.21 seconds. He also finished third in the 100 at 12.32 seconds.

Junior Jack Morehouse placed second in the javelin with a throw of 136-05.

For PCHS, freshman Matthew Burdin’s time of 12.56 seconds in the 100 was good for fourth place. His four points put the Pirates in 10th place.

In the girls’ meet, Foxcroft came in eighth of 12 teams with a score of 14 points.

Pony senior Cailin Seavey placed third in the javelin at 97-03.

Sophomore Sabrina Hamele finished fourth in the 1,600 racewalk with a time of 11:32.13.

Senior Makenzie Beaudry was fifth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-08. She also anchored the fifth-place 4×100 team, following junior Grace McLaughlin and seniors Hannah Sprecher and Sarasofia Stendardo for a time of 61.08 seconds.

The Greenville girls were 12th with two points as sophomore Jessica Cobb came in fifth in the 300 hurdles at 57.80 seconds.

On May 6 Dexter Regional High School took part in a conference meet at Bucksport High School.

The Tiger boys finished sixth among eight teams in the standings with 12 points.

Sophomore Isaac Webber placed fourth in the javelin at 120-00.

The Dexter 4×400 relay — freshman Cameron Allen, senior Dillion Allen, junior Ryan Boisvert and senior Chris Roderka — came in fifth at 4:11.66. The Tiger 4×100 was sixth as Cameron Allen, Boisvert, Roderka and Dillion Allen combined for a time of 52.28 seconds.

The girls from Dexter picked up 26 points to place sixth among seven squads.

Senior Danille Cummings won the 100 in a time of 13.45 seconds. She also came in second in the javelin with a throw of 83-01.

Tiger junior Erin Bache was the high jump runner-up at 4-08.

Also on May 6 the Penquis Valley High School track team competed at MDI High School.

The Patriot boys placed fifth of six teams with 14.5 points.

Freshmen Caden Cyr and Corbin Cyr were second and third in the long jump with respective jumps of 18-04.5 and 18-04.

Freshman Alvin Robhsaw tied for sixth in the 200 with a time of 25.79 seconds.

The Penquis girls picked up 56 points to place fourth of six teams.

Senior Cymeria Robshaw led the team with three first-place performances. Robshaw won the 100 in 13.09 seconds and she earned top honors in both the long and triple jumps at respective distances of 17-03 and 36-00.

Sophomore Courtney Rouleau came in first in the high jump at 4-04.

Senior Camryn Rolfe placed second in both the 800 at 2:46.55 and the 1,600 at 6:12.54.

On May 9 the Penquis boys placed fifth among six teams at Old Town High School with a score of seven points.

Sophomore Will Waterhouse came in fourth in the 200 at 25.30 seconds and sixth in the 100 at 12.34 seconds.

Caden Cyr placed fifth in the long jump at 17-09.25.

The Penquis girls ended the day in fifth place among six schools with 39 points.

Robshaw was the meet winner in both the long and triple jumps. She jumped respective distances of 17-06.50 and 35-03.75. She also came in second in the 100 with a time of 13.32 seconds.

Rolfe finished second in the 800 at 2:47.62.

Freshman Hope Lovell placed in both the 100 and 200. She came in fifth in the 100 at 14.54 seconds and was sixth in the 200 at 30.56 seconds.
