Durham County Poets perform April 27 at The Commons

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Hailing from Ormstown, Québec and the surrounding Chateauguay Valley, the Durham County Poets will bring their soulful folk music with hints of blues and jazz to The Commons at Central Hall at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. The Commons Executive Director Tara Smith said that both spectators and dancers are encouraged to attend.

The five seasoned musicians, all of whom are songwriters, previously played in various blues, gospel, rock and country bands before joining forces in 2011. This varied background allows the band to transition smoothly between genres during performances. Kevin Harvey is the lead vocalist, with David Whyte on electric and acoustic guitars, and vocals; Neil Elsmore on acoustic guitar and vocals; Carl Rufh on double bass and vocals; and Rob Couture on drums.
