Foxcroft Academy sophomore Black elected Key Club Division 2 lieutenant governor

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Kelli Black, a member of Foxcroft Academy’s Class of 2021 and president of the Key Club, has been elected lieutenant governor for Division 2 of the New England & Bermuda District of Key Clubs for 2019-20. She is the seventh student from Foxcroft Academy to be elected to this prestigious position.

“I am so incredibly excited to be able to serve as the new Lt. Gov. for Division 2 for the upcoming Key Club year,” Black said. “I absolutely love Key Club and I feel so profoundly lucky and thankful that I am able to further serve the clubs within our division and our district. I can’t wait to see what this opportunity and this upcoming year has in store.”

KEY CLUB LT. GOV. — Foxcroft Academy sophomore Kelli Black has been elected lieutenant governor for Division 2 of the New England & Bermuda District of Key Clubs for 2019-20.

In addition to Black ascending to this post, the other Foxcroft Academy students to be elected Division 2 Lt. Gov. are David Smith (1986-87), Lana Cartwright (1988-89), Rolinda Mitchell (2004-05), Amelia McDermott (2007-08), Elizabeth Morrison (2014-15), and Crystal Macomber (2015-16 and 2016-17).

“The history of Key Club dates back many years, and recently these students have worked hard to broaden their efforts, not just locally, but all over the world, and Kelli has been a big part of that,” said George Rolleston, Key Club adviser. “We are proud of her and her efforts for getting the latest fundraiser off the ground as we work with the Thirst Project to fund another well in Swaziland. Kelli is a leader and this position is just one of many honors that she will see.”

Black will be installed at the new Lt. Gov. at the 2019 Key Club New England District Conference in Springfield, Massachusetts in April. She takes over for outgoing Lt. Gov. Chris Roderka of Dexter Regional High School.

The Foxcroft Academy Key Club was chartered on March 30, 1971, and is proudly sponsored by the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club.
