Tying up loose ends at Jan. 15 Pine Tree Hospice Lunch ‘N Learn session

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Being faced with loose ends after someone dies is the topic of Pine Tree Hospice’s Jan. 15 Lunch ‘N Learn, held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church. Donna Peterson, Piscataquis County register of probate, will present “Tying up Loose Ends.”

Part of Pine Tree Hospice’s Adult Bereavement Series, Lunch ‘N Learn is a monthly support program for adults who have lost someone recently or in the past. Peterson will discuss the loose ends that may have been left or forgotten during this very difficult time. After someone dies, their loved ones often discover that there tasks that must be taken care of – closing of accounts, transferring titles, and paying bills are just some of those things. The process of probate – when there is a will and when there is not is also an important topic that Peterson will talk about. Bring your questions and Peterson will give you information and tips about how to make this process easier.

This event is part of Pine Tree Hospice’s Adult Bereavement Support and is free of charge. Remember this program is open to adults in the community who have experienced grief and loss whether recently or in the past. A free nutritious lunch is included.

To register for Lunch ‘N Learn, please call Pine Tree Hospice at 564-4346 or email wecare@pinetreehospice.org.
