Elections have consequences

To the Editor;
Sue Mackey Andrews vs. Paul Davis.

I have known Sue Mackey Andrews for many years. She is a hard worker, and I believe she cares deeply for the people of our community.

Unfortunately, she was in favor of the gun bill that Bloomberg tried to ram through the last election.

That would have been one of the most restrictive gun control laws in the country.

Democrats are not all gun grabbers. We’ve had some of the greatest supporters of the Second Amendment. One that comes to mind is a man that I went to school with by the name of John Martin of Eagle Lake. He is largely responsible for Article 1 Section 16 of the Maine Constitution, which reads “every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms and that right shall never be questioned.

When Sue Mackey Andrews sided with the gun grabbers she questioned that right. This November we have a choice –Yay or Nay — a gun control candidate, or a proven supporter of the Second Amendment, Paul Davis.
