Mid-Maine Revolution FC thriving in the area
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The soccer club, Mid-Maine Revolution FC, started in 2015 and had one team with 12 players. Last year Mid-Maine Revolution FC had two teams with 25 players in the club. Into its fourth year Mid-Maine Revolution FC will have three teams with 38 players in the club for the upcoming fall season, a U-12, U-13 and a coed U-14 team.
President/Coach Luis Ayala is pleased with the growth of the club, “It’s great to see that kids want to be better soccer players. They want the challenge to play at a higher level. This is what we offer to them. We work on their individual skills and teach them different team schemes.”
Mid-Maine Revolution FC plans to continue to grow through the years. This is a great area that has very talented kids,” Ayala said. “Our club is very lucky that we can attract players not only from Dover-Foxcroft and close by neighboring towns but towns as far as Greenville.”
The club will also like to thank sponsors Danny Moore of Foxcroft Printing, Trey Gilbert of Herring Brothers Meat Market and Brian Westman of the Bear’s Den Restaurant and Tavern. “Without them we could not be a club,” Ayala said. “They help us keep the registration fees very affordable to our players. They are just so generous every year.”
The club is still looking for soccer players, boys and girls in grades 6-7, that would still like to play for the Mid-Maine Revolution FC this season. If interested, please contact Ayala at luis.ayala@foxcroftacademy.org or 717-5298.
