Ponies swim at Old Town

OLD TOWN — The Foxcroft Academy swim team took part in a dual meet on the road against Old Town High School on Dec. 29. The Pony girls fell by a score of 92-63 and the Foxcroft boys lost to Old Town 90-43.

Foxcroft’s Jenna Clukey recorded two individual first-place finishes. Clukey had the top time in the 200-yard freestyle at 2 minutes, 10.56 seconds. She also won the 100 butterfly in 1:07.11.

Clukey anchored the winning 200 free relay as Emily Curtis, Abby Henderson, Chloe Waugh and Clukey combined for a time of 2:03.96. Clukey opened the second-place 400 relay team, followed by Waugh, Curtis and Henderson for a time of 4:32.41.

Waugh won a pair of her races. In the 200 IM she earned top honors in 2:44.02 and Waugh came in first in the 500 free at 6:33.27.

Curtis placed first in the 50 free with a time of 30.64 seconds. Curtis was also third in the 200 free at 2:38.05.

Henderson won the 100 free in 1:10.21. She also was second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:31.42.

Amy Waugh placed second in the 100 backstroke at 1:29.24. She also came in third in the 100 free at 1:20.40.

Carrigan Fisk placed fifth in the 50 free with a time of 56.23 seconds.

Noah Contreras led the Foxcroft boys by winning a pair of events. Contreras had the evening’s top time in both the 50 and 100 free races with respective times of 27.30 seconds and 1:02.08.

Contreras also anchored the top 200 free relay team, following Nathaniel Skomars, Triston Green and Samuel Gidman for a time of 2:03.97. Contreras finished off the Pony 200 medley relay team, following Green, Hunter Kemp and Skomars for a time of 2:20.61.

Skomars came in second in the 500 free at 6:46.85. He also was fourth in the 200 free with a time of 2:38.46.

Gidman finished third in the 50 free at 29.53 seconds.

Green placed third in the 100 free at 1:08.80 and right behind was Kemp at 1:08.98. Green also came in third in the 100 back at 1:18.24 and Kemp was fourth in the 100 breast at 1:36.09.
