On April 27 the Dexter boys finished third out of eight schools with 78 points during a meet at Ellsworth.
Brandon Allen came in first in both the long and triple jumps at respective distances of 19 feet, 2.5 inches and 40-00.50. Allen was also fourth in the high jump at 5-04.
Dexter’s 4×100 relay team had the meet’s best time at 49.39 seconds.
Tanner Hall finished as the shot put runner-up at 37-05 and David Kirshkaln was fourth at exactly 35 feet.
Chris Roderka came in third in the 3,200 at 11:40 and the 4×800 was also third 10:19.74.
Zach White placed fourth in the 200 at 25.71 seconds, Jacob Hesseltine came in fourth in the 400 at 1:04.49 and Dillion Allen was fourth in the long jump at 16-09.25.
Rounding out the scoring were fourth fifth-place performances: Zach White in the 100 at 12.65 seconds; Jason Campbell in the 200 at 26.18 seconds; Kirshkaln in the discus at 80-11 and Sean Lockhart in the javelin at 101-07.
The Dexter girls placed second in a field of six schools with 74 points.
Danielle Cummings won both the 100 and 200 at 13.57 and 28.10 seconds.
Lily Cummings won the long jump at 14-01.75. She also was third in both the 100 and 200 with respective times of 14.53 and 29.96 seconds.
Erin Bache placed second in the 100 at 14.41 seconds, fourth in the 200 at 30.42 seconds and fifth in the javelin at 56-01.
In the shot Rebecca Batron placed second at 25-01.50 and Nadia Neptune came in fifth at 23-06.50. Serena Seekings was fourth in the javelin at 59-02.
On April 28 the Penquis boys were fourth of four point-scoring teams at Hampden with six points.
Penquis’ Ryan McIntosh came in third in the javelin at 98-00.
The girls from Penquis came in fourth in a field of five at 19 points.
Kayla Harmon had the day’s best javelin throw at 94-09.
Cymeria Robshaw placed second in the 100 at 13.46 seconds, and she was also fourth in the long jump at 15-01.
Kylee Trafton ran to a fifth-place finish in the 1,600 at 6:52.35, and Jordan Durant was sixth in the long jump at 14-04.25.
Also at Hampden, the PCHS girls came in fifth with six points.
Mya Young finished third in the high jump at 4-08.
Lexi Harris recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes. She came in third in the 100 hurdles at 18.97 seconds and Harris was fifth in the 800 at 2:52.67.
The Foxcroft boys won a home meet on April 29, picking up 126 points to come in first out of nine teams.
Evan Chadbourne was the meet winner in the 100 at 12.14 seconds. He also opened the second-place 4×100 relay, followed by Jonathon Feix, Matt Storer and Owen Booker for a time of 51.20 seconds.Chadbourne began the Pony 4×400 relay as he, Elijah Ames, Chandler Dow and Feix came in third at 4;23.36.
Storer won the shot put at 49-01. He also finished second in the discus at 112-06.
Hyatt Smith placed second in both the high jump and pole vault at 5-06 and 10-06 respectively.
Youssef El Deib came in second in the 800 at 2:43.21, as did Dustin Simmons in the triple jump at 34-00 and Nick Damers in the javelin at 136-07.
Dow finished third in the 110 hurdles at 19.11 seconds, as was Jacob Raynes in the 800 at 2:44.39, Caleb Buerger in the pole vault at 6-06 and the Pony 4×800 relay (El Deib, Hunter Clarke, Raynes and Ethan Poland) at 10:24.02.
The fourth-place performers were Ames in the high jump at 5-02, Simmons in the long jump at 16-03.25, Owen Booker in the triple jump at 29-11.50 and Johnny Labree in the discus at 96-08.
Labree added a fifth-place throw in the javelin at 107-04, and Ames placed fifth in the 110 hurdles at 21.30 seconds.
The Greenville boys came in sixth at Foxcroft Academy with 37 points.
Devin Boone had the day’s best throw in the discus at 125-01. He also finished second in the shot put with a throw of 42-04.
Noah Pratt ended up in second place in the 1,600 at 5:15.93.
Ben Baldwin was third and fifth in the 200 and 100 at 25.49 and 12.86 respective seconds. Parker Richards came in sixth in the 200 at 26.86 seconds.
In the girls’ meet, the host Ponies came in third of eight with 88 points.
Emily Mikoud recorded four first-place performances. She won the 100 in 14.20 seconds and the shot put and discus at distances of 35-08 and 122-03.
Mikoud opened the winning 4×100 relay as Emily Sprecher, Jacalyn Pelletier and Olivia Wesley followed with the four turning in a combined time of 57.97 seconds.
Wesley won the 800 at 2:50.84. She also ran the second leg of the second-place 4×400 relay as Jordan Thomas, Wesley, Pelletier and Sarasofia Stentardo together had a time of 5:04.24.
Stentardo finished second in the long jump at 13-11.
Coming in fourth for the Ponies was Pelletier in the 100 at 15.10 seconds and triple jump at 26-09, Sprecher in the 3,200 at 17:59.14 and Avery Nelson in the javelin at 70-02.
Virginia Macomber placed fifth in the 3,200 at 20:50.70.
Sixth-place finishers were Thomas in the racewalk at 7:09.79, Sprecher in both the javelin and shot put at 62-04 and 24-08 respectively and Nelson in the discus at 64-08.
At Dover-Foxcroft the Greenville girls came in seventh with 20 points as Abby McDonough accounted for all 20 with a pair of first-place performances. McDonough won the high jump at 4-06 and her distance of 14-02 was the meet’s best in the long jump.
