A letter to Forest Society of Maine

To the Editor;
Will your organization support the Moosehead Region Futures Corporation to prevent the building of two large windmill farms consisting of over 100 windmills? They will be built on Misery Ridge and on Burnt Nubble and Black Nubble.

These wind farms will grossly affect The Crown Jewel of Maine, Moosehead Lake, and the pristine Big Indian Pond and Little Moose Public Reserved Land. Tourism is a big part of Greenville’s economy and I don’t believe people will want to come to The Crown Jewel of Maine to gaze upon 500 foot tall windmills. Can you imagine the Bingham Project in Moosehead Lake’s backyard?
