PCHS honors parts

    GUILFORD — The Piscataquis Community High School proudly announces Abigail Mae Riitano as the Class of 2013 Valedictorian. Riitano is the daughter of Thomas and Jacqueline Riitano of Abbot. While attending PCHS Riitano was active in the National Honor Society, Key Club and she was a part of the Civil Rights Team. She was a four-year varsity player on the school’s soccer team and was a varsity basketball athlete.

    Riitano will be  attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle as part of the pre-medical biology program and playing collegiate soccer as part of the UMPI Lady Owls.
    The Salutatorian is Rebecca Elizabeth Grant, the daughter of Sheila and Gary Grant of Parkman. While attending PCHS Grant was active in the Key Club, Yearbook Committee and National Honor Society. She was also a four-year member of the school’s award-winning Envirothon team. 
    Grant will be attending the University of Maine as part of the Honors College for Ecology.
