Sen. Davis announces local projects in Maine DOT work plan

Sen. Paul Davis (R-Sangerville) has announced the local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation work plan for the 2017-19 calendar years. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.3 billion and encompasses 2,411 projects across the state.
The work plan includes everything from capital projects and programs to maintenance, operations projects and other activities. The projects and activities listed for 2017 are more firmly funded and have definite schedules, while listings for 2018 and 2019 are more subject to change based on funding and prices, permitting variables and seasonal weather conditions. There are over 1,200 projects scheduled for 2017.
Among the Senate District 4 projects scheduled are improvements to Route 11 in Brownville, Route 6 and Route 15 in Greenville, Route 150 in Guilford and Parkman, Elliotsville Road in Willimantic, Route 43 in Athens and Hartland and Route 152 in Ripley. Route 6 in Abbot and Routes 7 and 15 in Dover-Foxcroft are scheduled to be completely redone.
“I am pleased to see that the Department of Transportation plans to invest in so many projects within Senate District 4,” Sen. Davis said. “Investing in infrastructure ensures ease of mobility for residents and encourages economic investment within the region.”
