GFWC/Miosac Club news

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The GFWC/Miosac Club held its annual Porch Party at the beautiful home of Laurie Ducat with 10 members attending. Lots of good food,and fun, Ann Cress offered grace.

President Wendy Hutchins reminded us that National Day of Caring is approaching and offered several ideas of what we can do for it, to be decided at the regular meeting.

Members have been busy this month getting ads from local merchants for the 2024-26 Community Directory which will be out the first of the new year. Most merchants were very willing and thanked us for doing the directory.

The first regular meeting was set for Sept. 11 at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church with the advisory committee providing soups for our “Souper Supper”.

GFWC/Maine Fall Conference will be held Oct. 23 in Waterville with Suzanne Raymond presiding. Officers and committee chairpeople will attend.
