
Bangor man accused of abandoning overturned truck outside Greenville school

GREENVILLE — A Bangor man allegedly abandoned a pickup truck after it overturned on a Greenville school soccer field.
Charles Martin, 22, has been charged with aggravated criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving to endanger, according to the Greenville Police Department.

ABANDONED TRUCK — A Bangor man allegedly drove onto a soccer field at Greenville Consolidated School during the evening of Sept. 4 and then left it there when the truck flipped onto its roof.
Martin allegedly drove the pickup truck onto the soccer field at Greenville Consolidated School about 9:50 p.m. Sept. 4, causing “significant damage” before the truck flipped onto its roof, Greenville police said.
He allegedly then left the truck on the soccer field, where it was discovered about 6:15 a.m. the next morning.
The truck was towed away with extensive damage.
Greenville police said that Martin is cooperating.
No additional information was immediately available.
