Stuck on the roof to support Center Theatre drama camps
DOVER-FOXCROFT – Dani Buschmann will once again be stuck on the deck to raise funds for the Center Theatre for the Performing Arts. The annual Dani on the Deck fundraiser is slated for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. Buschmann won’t get off the “hot tin roof” until she raises $2,500 to benefit the Center Theatre’s Children’s Summer Drama Camps.
Supporters can help Buschmann get a head start by pledging donations now, or wait until the day of the event to contribute. On Sept. 21 her event will be livestreamed on the theatre’s website and YouTube channel so people all around the world can check in, donate, and give Buschmann words of encouragement. Members of the local community will also be joining her on the roof to talk about events and news. The lineup includes Lucas Butler and Doug Webster from the Piscataquis County Ice Arena, Jen Nason, owner of Win-Win Thrift Store, Jenny Chase from Rowell’s Garage, and Jon Knepp, director of the Thompson Free Library. Additional guests will join throughout the day
To support the fundraiser, people can make donations to the theatre or pledge a donation toward rewards for Buschmann. She will get a snack from the theatre for a $10 donation or takeout from a local restaurant for a $100 pledge. More reward and pledge amounts are available on the Center Theatre’s website, CenterTheatre.org/dani-on-deck.
