Dover-Foxcroft Historical Society presentation on 19th century murder

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Piscataquis Observer, June 30, 1881 “Terrible murder in Parkman. A deaf mute named Chadbourne hacks to pieces Alvin Watson! Fifty gashes inflicted. The body dragged to the back yard. Horrible disclosures!” Thus happens the first murder in Piscataquis County.
