MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNEY — The annual Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament at the Mount Kineo Golf Course raised funds to support patient care at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital and scholarships for students at Greenville High School.

Event sponsors included Ware-Butler Building Supply, A.E. Robinson, Indian Hill Trading Post, Plymouth Engineering. RE/MAX Infinity, and Dunbar & Brawn Construction. CA Dean Hospital also thanks Bill Willard, Marcel and Helene Dutil, and the entire Mt. Kineo Golf Club for their continued support and generosity.

All money raised at the tournament stays local to support patient care at CA Dean and provide scholarships for students at Greenville High School.

The tournament honors former CA Dean board member Forrest G. Whitman, a respected community leader who passed away in 2012. Several members of Whitman’s family attend the tournament each year, including Forrest’s son Burton Whitman.

“The tournament is great because of how it supports scholarships and the hospital itself,” he says. “The hospital means a lot to the community. If Forrest could see the new hospital, he’d think we have a real gem.”

Next year’s Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025. Registration will open in the spring.
