Brownville Days events Friday and Saturday

BROWNVILLE — The Bicentennial edition (1824 to 2024) of Brownville Days will feature events on Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17.

Friday kicks off with the Brownville Free Public Library rummage, book, and bake sale starting at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. the Mainely Pastures Food Truck will be at the Village Playground, followed by a 7 p.m. concert in the park with the Josh Guthrie Band. Fireworks are set for 9:15 p.m. over 302 Main Road with parking at Earl Gerrish & Sons.

Saturday starts with a pancake breakfast at the Brownville Junction Fire Station from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. – by donation. The parade from Webber Jones Airport to Davis Field will begin at 11 a.m.

From noon to 3 p.m. along Railroad Avenue food will see served at the American Legion building and North and South eats at the Junction Fire Station along with DJ Frank Manzo, the Darlings’ Ice Cream Truck, vendors, waterslide, bounce house, Northern Light Health Teddy Bear Clinic, tie dying, face painting, and more.

The Penquis Valley Booster Club cornhole tournament starts at 1 p.m. at 75 Railroad Avenue. See the Penquis Valley Athletics Facebook page for more.

At 8 p.m. the Junction Music Park hosts Hill McGraw.
