Center Theatre to host Whoopie Pie Skate Party at ice arena
DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced a Whoopie Pie Skate Party at the Piscataquis County Ice Arena. This special event will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 2 at the Piscataquis County Ice Arena, 1049 West Main Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Center Theatre’s Summer Drama Camps, which provide enriching and creative experiences for children in the community.
Attendees are invited to bring their own roller or inline skates and helmets. Pre-registration is available online for only $5, while tickets at the door will be $7 (cash only). A limited number of skate and helmet rentals will be available for $3 each (cash only). Helmets are required for all skaters. The first 50 people to attend will receive a free mini whoopie pie, making this event even sweeter.
Patrick Myers, executive director of the Center Theatre, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying, “We’re happy that our friends at the ice arena are partnering with us on this fun event! We hope lots of people will come to skate, have a whoopie pie, and support the Center Theatre’s Summer Drama Camp.”
The Center Theatre’s Summer Drama Camps are the longest-running program of the Center Theatre. The day camps bring kids together for two-weeks to work on a play, work on costumes and sets, learn teamwork, build confidence and have fun. This summer the Center Theatre is offering camps in Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft, Greenville, Milo, and Monson. Registration is open for the camps, which are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis.
