READY TO DIG IN — Long-time Milo Garden Club member Shirlene Ladd speaks with children anxious to dig in the dirt and plant their seeds at the April 25 Bearcat after-school program.
Milo Garden Club and Bearcats plant seeds of spring
MILO — Seeds of spring were planted when Milo Garden Club members met with 36 Bearcats during SAD 41’s after-school program, on Thursday, April 25.
Thanks to the generosity of Country Junction Greenhouse and Gardens in Bradford, students were provided with plant pots. Milo Garden Club members offered a helping hand, showing students how the seeds, a provider bean and a marigold, should be planted then cared for as they spring to life.
If you like to dig in the dirt, too, please consider contacting Milo Garden Club to find out how you can help with community plantings. You do not have to be a Milo resident. For more information, please call 207-943-2400.
