FA boys indoor track finishes fourth at league championship

ORONO — The Foxcroft Academy boys scored 46 points to place fourth among eight schools at the 2024 Eastern Maine Indoor Track League Small School championship at the University of Maine’s New Balance Field House on Feb. 8.

Pony senior Jack Kingsbury won the Small School high jump title. He cleared the bar at a height of 5 feet, 10 inches, two inches above the 5-08 for Orono High School senior Alex Maheu.

Kingsbury had a third-place performance in the long jump at 18-09.75. He was also fourth in the 55-meter hurdle finals in a time of 9.10 seconds.

Foxcroft sophomore Conner Donahue picked up three second-place finishes. He was the runner-up in both the 55 finals and 200 with respective times of 7.03 and 24.97 seconds. Donahue came in second in the long jump at a distance measuring 19-04.75.

Junior Runner Jarrett had a fifth-place run at two miles with his time of 11:10.40.

For Dexter Regional High School, sophomore Brady Jerome picked up a pair of points as the Tigers came in eighth in the team standings.

Jerome placed fifth in the shot put with his throw of 36-11.75.

In the girls’ Small School meet, Piscataquis Community High School recorded 10 points to finish seventh among eight teams.

Pirate sophomore Ava Goulette came in second in the shot put with her throw measuring 32-11.25.

Sophomore Sadie Kelley finished sixth in the mile with her time of 7:03.20.

Senior Tiare Channon was sixth in the high jump at 3-10.
