Portalatin finishes seventh at Millinocket Half-Marathon

MILLINOCKET — Rico Portalatin, 52 of Milo, finished seventh at the 2023 Millinocket Half-Marathon on Saturday, Dec. 2. Portalatin covered the 13.1 miles in a time of 1 hour, 19 minutes, 45 seconds to place seventh among a field of 1,463 runners. He had the top time among 60 entrants in the men’s age 50-54 division.

More than a dozen other area residents also took part in the half-marathon. They are Edward Mead, 32 of Dover-Foxcroft, 23rd at 1:23.08; John Chase, 68 of Monson, 193rd at 1:44.58; Carl Hebert, 12 of Garland, 342nd at 1:53.18; Jacob Hebert, 43 of Garland, 348th at 1:53.29; Jeremy Martin, 22 of LaGrange, 423rd at 1:52.58;

Erica Dale, 34 of Dover-Foxcroft, 535th at 2:04.05; Elizabeth Garner, 28 of Greenville, 598th at 2:06.56; Kathleen Dixon-Wallace, 57 of Milo, 782nd at 2:17.30; Donna Peterson, 64 of Dover-Foxcroft, 883rd at 2:23.49; Holland Rockwell, 35 of Greenville Junction, 1,017th at 2:34.34; Peter Devine, 74 of Garland, 1,057th at 2:38.22;

Dawn Eckstein, 45 of Garland, 1,087th at 2:42.57; Charlene Fearnley, 35 of Greenville, 1,197th at 3:01.17; Andrea Miller, 51 of Dexter, 1,308th at 3:33.34; Joseph Cleaves, 68 of Dexter, 1,333th at 3:44.46; Ronnie Towne, 53 of Dover-Foxcroft, 1,452nd at 4:54.17; and Lori Towne, 50 of Dover-Foxcroft, 1,454th at 4:54.17.

In the marathon Jacob Olson, 23 of Charleston, came in 116th among 213 entrants. Olson ran the 26.2 miles in a nettime of 4:20.39.
