SeDoMoCha field hockey tops Dexter to win Penquis League championship
DOVER-FOXCROFT — A late goal helped the SeDoMoCha Middle School field hockey team top Ridge View Community School 1-0 in the Penquis League championship on the turf at the Jim Robinson Field House on Saturday, Oct. 21. With the victory the Eagles concluded the 2023 season with a perfect 12-0 record.
With five minutes left against Ridge View, Kaydense Nelson broke the 0-0 stalemate for what would be the only goal of the game.
LEAGUE CHAMPS — The SeDoMoCha Middle School field hockey team defeated Ridge View 1-0 in the Penquis League championship on Oct. 21 at the Jim Robinson Field House in Dover-Foxcroft. The Eagles concluded the season with a perfect 12-0 record.
“We ended our season undefeated!,” head coach Nicole Killam said. “The girls worked hard as a team, and many are playing winter field hockey on a travel team. The future is bright for these girls!”
SeDoMocha won all 10 regular season games, and then bested Piscataquis Community Middle School 4-0 in a Penquis League semifinal on the way to the championship game.
