Foxcroft runs at Maine XC Festival of Champions

BELFAST — The Foxcroft Academy cross country team joined schools from throughout the state, New England, and Canada at the 2023 Maine XC Festival of Champions on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Troy Howard Middle School.

The Foxcroft boys finished with a score of 1,697 points to place 60th among 75 full teams.

Pony junior Runner Jarrett led the team as he came in 113th among a field of 875 finishers. Jarrett covered the 5K course in a time of 17 minutes, 49.20 seconds. Freshman Pace Jarrett was next for Foxcroft as he placed 344th in 19:45.38.

The other five Ponies were senior Zachary Peirce, 510th at 20:55.33; sophomore John Seo, 619th at 21:59.67; junior Pablo Segura, 793rd at 25:12.80; freshman Davi Kim, 818th at 25:57.19; and sophomore Bao Tran, 869th at 32:58.25.

In the girls race, Foxcroft had two runners among the 703 finishers.

Sophomore Quen Pham placed 613 in a time of 30:02.67. Senior Taylor Pahlavan came in 649th at 31:49.09.
