Food Drive 4 Kids helps children finish up the summer healthy and strong

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The last few weeks of summer vacation is a vulnerable time for children and families who experience food insecurity. In response, Northern Light Mayo Hospital employees came together to hold the Food Drive 4 Kids to  collect fruit cups, juice boxes, granola bars, jam and jelly, and other kid-focused food for distribution in our communities.

The Mayo Hospital team exceeded its goal of collecting 400 items, one for each hospital  employee.

Items collected during the Food Drive 4 Kids are being distributed by the Piscataquis  Regional Food Center, home of the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Center.
