Upcoming events at Guilford Memorial Library

GUILFORD — Our final Mainely Crafts program for the summer will be clay creatures on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. All ages welcome.

Story Hour every Friday at 10 a.m. with a read-aloud and craft for pre-kindergarten and beyond.

The Guilford Memorial Library Book Club pick for September is “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah. (Date to be determined.) Copies will be available at the library to check out. The YA Page to Screen Club meets Friday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m.

The Guilford Memorial Library will host award-winning Maine author Cathie Pelletier on Friday, Aug. 18 at 3 p.m. for an author talk and book signing featuring her national bestseller “Northeaster: A Story of Courage and Survival in the Blizzard of 1952”.

Kids, join us for the End of the Summer Reading Party on Thursday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m.! Our party features a decorate-and-eat-your-own moose cupcake, a craft, a scavenger hunt, an award ceremony, and a prize for every child. All are welcome.

Guilford Memorial Library has partnered with the University of Maine’s Cooperative Extension Office to bring you a One Tomato Project program geared toward an audience of children 12 and under. This program will feature a read-aloud and homemade tomato sauce! Join us on Friday, Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. All are welcome.
