Full-scope family medicine physician joins Northern Light Mayo Hospital and Northern Light Primary Care, Sangerville
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Northern Light Mayo and CA Dean Hospitals are pleased to welcome family practitioner Kristin Hartt, MD to their healthcare teams and to their communities.
As a family practitioner who provides OB services, Dr. Hartt offers comprehensive care to Mainers through the entire lifespan, including women during and after pregnancy and in the delivery room. She also cares for newborns and children of all ages.
“Delivering babies is a passion for me because it’s a miracle every time,” she says. “It’s an honor to be part of such a beautiful thing and working to make the experience as positive as it can be.”
Dr. Hartt provides outpatient family medicine services at Primary Care, Sangerville, and inpatient obstetric, newborn, and pediatric care at Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She has a special interest in helping people affected by long COVID, a syndrome characterized by new, returning, or ongoing COVID-19 symptoms for weeks or months after infection.
“As someone who has experienced long COVID, I can relate with others who are struggling with symptoms well after they’re diagnosed,” she says. “I can be a resource for anyone who is looking for someone to help them through their long COVID journey.”
No stranger to rural healthcare, Dr. Hartt practiced in Aroostook County for many years prior to joining Northern Light Health. She and her family enjoy hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, and gardening.
