FIND THE WHOOPIE PIE CONTEST WINNER — Susan Cannon of Atkinson is the grand prize winner of the Piscataquis Observer’s annual Find the Whoopie Pie Contest. Cannon’s prize basket includes VIP passes and parking for the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival on Saturday, a merchandise voucher, and sponsors' items. Her name was drawn from a pool of weekly winners, each received two passes to the festival, a festival magnet, and five sampler tokens. Cannon was accompanied at the Piscataquis Observer office in Dover-Foxcroft by her granddaughter, Zoey Strattard of Gray.
